The Leon H. Sullivan Human Services Center (“the Center”) (formerly known as Progress Human Services Center) is a 67,000 SF two-story office building designed and constructed uniquely as a one-stop human services center. The Center was erected under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Leon H. Sullivan and dedicated September 12, 1978.
The Center is owned and operated by the Leon H. Sullivan Charitable Trust (“the Trust”). A mission of the Trust is to make accessible office space available to the providers of social and human services at an affordable rate.
Service providers located in the Center are:
PYN Achieving Independence Center. The AIC exists to provide a safe communal space where youth in dependent care can be connected, educated, and empowered as they strive toward attaining and maintaining independence. The Center, which is managed by Valley Youth House, is a program of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services. A youth is eligible to be a member of AIC if they were involved in out of home placement and are between the ages of 14-21. VisionQuest is an employee owned comprehensive national youth services organization adhering to the highest professional standards in providing innovative intervention services to at-risk youth and families. National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer. A Nonprofit organization that provides cancer prevention and early detection awareness for African Americans and the African Diaspora.
